Meet Michelle

Michelle Klurstein is a Senior Luxury Residential Specialist in her 21st year of real estate practice in Marin County and the Napa / Sonoma Wine Country. Growing up in the Bay Area, Michelle hails from a family steeped in real estate investment as the principal means of creating wealth. The art of the deal was dinner table discussion at family gatherings. Her guidance in always considering the investment aspect of a property has proven an invaluable asset to her clients throughout her long residency.

There is no substitution for experience! Having the knowhow to achieve the best results possible for her clients comes from doing it successfully again and again over many years and staying up to date with trends, as well as much evolved legal and strategic practices.

Michelle has now partnered with Ronda Priestner, a very successful business owner in her own right, with extensive experience working with every personality type including very high net worth and high profile personalities, requiring extreme discretion. She has extensive design and marketing experience that adds depth to their new combined practice under the Marin SF Home Group domain.

Please see MarinSFHomeGroup.com home page for their specific expertise specialties.

Michelle’s background

Michelle had hard earned super success in the early 1980’s with her representation of the very first 100% European designer eyewear lines for department store distribution for the vast California market. Among the initial imported brands were the lines of Persol, Laura Biagiotti, Anne Klein and Nina Ricci eyewear. The overwhelming consumer reception for higher end eyewear, led to her launch of the very first sunglass outposts (similar to Sunglass Hut today) being set up in every branch of every department store in CA, including Neiman Marcus, I Magnin, Saks 5th Ave, Nordstrom & Macy’s. Designer eyewear has evolved to become the most successful fashion accessory classification in the world.

Subsequently at the advent of starting her family, she lived in Paris’s 6th Arrondisement 3+ months a year for 10 years and rebuilt a remarkable residence atop Belvedere Island in the 90’s, greatly influencing Michelle’s aesthetic sense and her regard for beauty in property presentation; the backbone of her consistent outstanding results for her sellers. On the buy side, the Paris and Belvedere experiences created an awareness of infrastructure consideration and how/what to investigate and remedy, as it relates to a home’s worth when making an offer and during ownership. Michelle studied art at the British Institute in Florence, with classes at both the Louvre & American University in Paris. Her official higher education came from San Francisco State University with a major in English.
