Michelle’s background
Michelle had hard earned super success in the early 1980’s with her representation of the very first 100% European designer eyewear lines for department store distribution for the vast California market. Among the initial imported brands were the lines of Persol, Laura Biagiotti, Anne Klein and Nina Ricci eyewear. The overwhelming consumer reception for higher end eyewear, led to her launch of the very first sunglass outposts (similar to Sunglass Hut today) being set up in every branch of every department store in CA, including Neiman Marcus, I Magnin, Saks 5th Ave, Nordstrom & Macy’s. Designer eyewear has evolved to become the most successful fashion accessory classification in the world.
Subsequently at the advent of starting her family, she lived in Paris’s 6th Arrondisement 3+ months a year for 10 years and rebuilt a remarkable residence atop Belvedere Island in the 90’s, greatly influencing Michelle’s aesthetic sense and her regard for beauty in property presentation; the backbone of her consistent outstanding results for her sellers. On the buy side, the Paris and Belvedere experiences created an awareness of infrastructure consideration and how/what to investigate and remedy, as it relates to a home’s worth when making an offer and during ownership. Michelle studied art at the British Institute in Florence, with classes at both the Louvre & American University in Paris. Her official higher education came from San Francisco State University with a major in English.
Community Leadership
Outside real estate, Michelle is thrilled to have her daughter Marissa back in San Francisco after UCLA and post years in NYC. Her 27 year service leading art tours at the de Young Museum is a continuing passion. Appreciating the beauty and abundance in Marin, she hikes and is a regular Pilates devotee. Otherwise you will find her experiencing the world class offerings of San Francisco including the SF Symphony, SF Jazz, the best of SF food and wine, and planning her next extraordinary voyage.
